 The Rules (Must Read)
« Thread Started on Jun 27, 2008, 10:53am »

1. There shall be no mary suing. That is to say, we understand that your character probably likes someone. But let’s not have all the girl characters mobbing one guy, or all the guy characters fawning over one girl.

2. This site is rated PG to PG-13. That means we allow mild cursing (hells, damns, etc) but not strong words (f-bombs, for example), and violence to a point, though not extremely graphic (you can stab people, just don’t go on for three paragraphs about how nice and gooey their intestines look lying on the ground). Sex is implied but not acted out (we don’t pretend that the children all hatched from eggs or popped out of the ground). Anything that goes beyond kissing and hugging should be faded to black.

3. No powerplaying. We don’t want you running around saying “Then, Joe pulled out his knife and before Steve could even react, Joe ran him through, killing him instantly.” Poor Steve. He never stood a chance, did he? You wouldn’t be too happy if you were playing Steve, would you? Just don’t do it.

4. If there is a form for use in a section, use it. We make them for a reason.

5. The children of the original Darlings and Lost Boys are specified in the canon characters list, and listed for claiming in the canon claims list. Those are the only canon relations we will accept without prior discussion with us. They’re pretty flexible, too. For most of them, all we’ve laid out is gender, age, and parents. Anything else - personality, appearance, diseases, all of that is up to you. Characters related to OTHER canon characters (Hook, Tiger Lily, Tinkerbell, etc) should be run by us first. We don’t want ninety little Hook/Tiger Lily love children running around, after all.

6. Be nice. We didn’t make this site to be a fighting arena, and we don’t want it to become one. If you have a problem with someone, do it over PMs or bring it up to an admin if it’s really serious. Certainly, certainly, never, ever, under any circumstances, create a “___ sux she wuz mean 2 me!” thread, OR start bashing people in the c-box.

7. This is an intermediate roleplaying site, meaning that we don’t expect you to post a million words per post. We do, however, hope that you will try to use spellcheck and try to make your grammar as coherent as possible. As for post length, a 200 character minimum is a good thing to aim for. One-liners = BAD.

8. Massive images in signatures are to be avoided. We don’t have specific limitations, and leave it mostly up to you, but use your best judgment. Don’t put anything that stretches the board sideways.

9. Timestamp your threads if you have more than one thread open with one character. You don't have to stamp your first thread if it's the only one you have with that character, but if you decide to do another one, make sure you edit into your first post in BOTH threads whether they take place before or after one another. (For example "This thread takes place before "Magic and Mystery" in the "Neverland" board" - you would then put "This thread takes place after "Daily Doldrums" in the "Victoire Academy" board" in the other thread"). If that's confusing, just ask one of the staff and we'll be happy to explain further.

10. We don't mind if you play more than one character, in fact, we welcome multiples. If you're playing more than one character, though, please register separate accounts for each one. As for your username, well, we don't care what you register as (sugarbaby9393, oodlesofnoodles, whatever) but your display name should be your character's first name and last if they have one. Little symbols, hearts, slashes, dashes, underscores, stars, whatever, are fine, too, but all the letters should be letters. (for example "_*Jane*_ is fine, but not "J@n3") Just make it readable.
